What it is
A lightweight aluminium roof beam sat on a standard access scaffold, clad in shrink-wrap or sheeting to create a weatherproof cover over the roof area.
When it's worth the cost
Full re-roofs that run for more than a couple of weeks, structural roof repairs, fire-damaged properties and listed-building work almost always justify a temporary roof — the protection of the interior alone usually pays for it.
